The Pat White Center at Ben Lomond, located at 10501 Copeland Drive, Manassas (at intersection with Sudley Manor Drive and across from Ben Lomond Historic Site) will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a fall-themed festival for the community on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a news release from Prince William County Parks & Recreation.

Suspects arrested in Woodbridge cases involving alleged sexual assault and alleged burglary in progress.
Stephen J. Farnsworth, longtime professor of political science at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, who is also director of UMW’s Center for Leadership and Media Studies (C4L&MS), says “Virginia may deserve to be treated as a ‘swing state’ once again this year.” Farnsworth's remarks came after a new statewide survey from the Center said Vice President Kamala Harris (D) and former President Donald Trump (R) are locked in a tight presidential contest in Virginia.

Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace Inc., a global provider of defense and aerospace systems, will invest $71 million to establish a 150,000-square-foot facility in James City County near Williamsburg. The company will invest an additional $30 million in other costs. Virginia successfully competed with two other states for the project, which will create 180+ new jobs, according to the governor. Va. officials pointed to a recent European trade mission as vital to the deal.
