Nov. 14 run at Holy Trinity to raise funds for Tragedy Assistance Program

Holy Trinity Catholic Church will host its third annual 5K and Fun Run on Veterans Day Weekend, Saturday, Nov. 14 with a start time of 8 a.m.
Th event will include a timed 5K race and a mile Fun Run and will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, which is located at 8213 Linton Hall Road in Gainesville.

The goal is to raise funds for TAPS–Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.  TAPS’s mission is to provide support to surviving family members, casualty officers and caregivers.  Currently TAPS has assisted over 50,000 members.  Go to http://www.taps.org for more information about this organization.

In 2014, this same event attracted more than 200 runners and raised over $2,000 for TAPS, according to Karen Chiodo, one of the race volunteers from Holy Trinity.  “We expect to exceed both the number of runners and our donation to T.A.P.S.,” Chiodo said.
