The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics committee has announced that nine ball pool and corn hole toss will be added to the 2015 roster of events which will take place Sept. 12-25. The registration fee of $12, which covers multiple events, will remain the same. David Jerome of Haymarket is president of NVSO.
Several events will be relocated at different venues due to renovations scheduled at one of the previously designated sites.
David Jerome of Haymarket and Del Wilson of Burke were recently reelected to serve as chairman and vice chairman as were Carol Mackela, Arlington, secretary and Michael Marrone, Alexandria, treasurer. Continuing as co-coordinators are Judy Massabny,
Arl. Dept. of Parks and Recreation and Tracy Browand, City of Falls Church Dept. of Recreation and Parks.
NVSO is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation departments and other agencies in the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier,
Loudoun and Prince William and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church.
More than 50 events are offered in friendly competition for adults 50 years of age and older who live in a sponsoring jurisdiction.
