Winners bring home gold medals from NVOS track and field events

Stone Bridge High School stadium , Ashburn, was the site of the 2014 Northern Virginia Senior Olympics, field events held Sun., Sept. 21.  Seven events including discus, shot put, mini javelin throw, Frisbee throw,  standing long jump, running long jump and high jump were held in five or 10 year age groups in separate male and female divisions. Some winners were from Prince William and Fauquier Counties.

Discus gold medalists were (women)  65-69, Margaret DeWilde, Dumfries,  and 90-94, Josephine Stewart, Manassas.

Frisbee throw gold medalists were (men) 70-79, Carlos Rodriguez, Dumfries. 

Standing long jump gold medalists were (women) 55-59, Keg Good, Woodbridge and (men)  70-74, Parviz Youssefi, Gainesville

Running long jump gold medalists were (men) 60-64 Wendell Williams, Warrenton,  and 70-74,  Parviz Youssefi,  Gainesville
