Dan Durante, 70, Gainesville, will attempt to set a new world record for 61 pull-ups within one minute for the Guinness Book of Records on Saturday, Sept. 13, at noon. at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 S. 2nd St., Arlington.
Durante is a competitor entered at the opening day of the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics.
Dave Jerome, NVSO chairman, said “It’s exciting to have Dan make his attempt during our opening which will bring even more attention to what seniors are capable of after 50.”
