Tennis gold medalists in Northern Virginia Senior Olympics

After four days of competition, some in grueling heat, the tennis competition in the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics concluded on Sept. 14 at Wakefield District Park in Annandale. The following day, Sept. 15, the badminton competition was held at the K2 Badminton Club in Sterling.
Gold medals in tennis were awarded to (men) doubles, 60-69, Sam Bedford, Nokesville and Barr Herrman, Manassas; and mixed doubles, 70-79, Don Sotirchos, Oak Hill and Carol Noggle, Gainesville.
