Hunters and others interested in the great outdoors are invited to take part in the 11th annual National Hunting and Fishing Day celebration Sept. 23, 2017. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources and Izaak Walton League of America will host a free, family-friendly event – rain or shine – from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 12759 Independence Road, Clear Spring, Washington County, which is near US 40 and the Hagerstown Speedway.

Mustangs Track Club (MTC) has opened registration for its 2017 spring season. MTC is a program that seeks to teach children to be competitive, while having fun at the same time. The program is open to youth athletes ages 5-16 and has programs in Gainesville and Culpeper.
