March workshop for tree lovers
Trees Virginia , an annual day-long plant health care workshop set for March 7, 2012, in Roanoke, is open to the public. The workshop, with 200 seats available, will be held at Virginia Western Community College.
Speaking to “The Nature of Trees and Other Related Thoughts” will be prominent, nationally recognized presenters Douglas Tallamy, Bob Lyons, Neil Hendrickson and Jim Flott.
Topics include Bringing Nature Home; The Color of the Native Plant Palette; The Greening of Arboriculture – Why There Weren’t Any Good Ol’ Days; Let It Be an Oak, and a bare root tree planting demonstration.
