Passport DC “Around the World Embassy Tour” will be held Saturday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Embassies will open their doors to DC visitors and residents. Participants can travel the world as they experience the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of different countries.
Participating embassies include Afghanistan, African Union, Albania, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Benin, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Cameroon,Chile, China, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Gabon, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Haiti, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea, Kosovo, Malaysia, Mexico, Micronesia, Morocco, Nepal, Oman, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, Uruguay and Zimbabwe.
Admission is free and open to the public and all media. No registration required. Many embassies are within walking distance of the Dupont Circle and Van Ness Metrorail stations, according to the news release.
