Members of the Manassas Senior Center have been busy all year working on the crafts for their annual Fall Bazaar scheduled for Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center, 9320 Mosby Lane, Manassas (corner of Mosby and Center Street near Manassas Cemetery).
Sponsored by Friends of the Manassas Senior Center, the funds raised will be used to help support programs and classes at the Senior Center and adding little extras to the Center, like morning coffee, according to Barbara Reese.
Included in the day also are a silent auction, a Secret Santa shop for children to purchase items for mom, dad and others and Santa Claus, himself. Everyone can get a picture with and a candy cane from Santa between 10 a.m. to noon for a donation of $1/picture.
Along with beautifully crocheted and knitted items, there will be quilted items, holiday decorations, flower arrangements, ceramics items, wreaths and plants.
There will also be a jewelry sale of donated items and a rummage sale of items donated by the seniors, many of which are downsizing their possessions.
A raffle is being held for: Amish handmade quilt, original painting, chocolate basket, flower arrangement, ceramic nativity set and a Grandparent/Grandchild Basket with things to do with your grandchildren.
The Happy Hoofers Line Dance group will have homemade baked goods for sale as well as their lunch combo to fill hungry stomachs.
