Effingham Manor Winery opening Sept. 30 in Nokesville
Effingham Manor Winery is officially open for business at 14337 Trotters Ridge Pl, Nokesville, VA 20181, according to a news release.
The winery is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. They are also kicking off Virginia Wine Month, which is the month of October.
On Saturday, Sept. 30, there will be a grand opening with a dedication of a Historical Marker Plaque, part of a program of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources. The marker is about Effingham Manor, the home of William Alexander, a leader in this region of Virginia during the Revolutionary War, and the great grandson of John Alexander, the namesake of Alexandria, Virginia.
