The Center for the Arts’ Rooftop Productions will hold auditions for the holiday musical Nuncrackers on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 17 from 1-4 p.m. Auditions are at the Center for the Arts, 9419 Battle Street, Manassas.
Nuncrackers which will open Nov. 25, Thanksgiving weekend, and run through Dec. 10, is the fourth in the Nunsense series of musicals with book, music and lyrics written by Dan Goggin.
Nuncrackers takes place in the Mount Saint Helen’s Convent where they are producing their first TV special for Cable TV. The sisters are presenting their annual Christmas program which includes Twelve Days Prior to Christmas and Sister Amnesia’s country hit, Santa Ain’t Comin’ to Our House. Not to be outdone, Father Virgil and Reverend Mother provide a comedy ballet as the dueling Sugar Plum Fairies.
Ted Ballard is directing. Nuncrackers is presented by arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc. Four females, one male and four children ages 10-15 needed.
