Manassas National Battlefield Park will commemorate the 155th anniversary of the Second Battle of Manassas (also known as Second Bull Run) throughout the weekend of Aug. 25-27.
Park historians will lead special extended walking tours covering key phases of the Second Battle of Manassas, on Friday evening, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m., at the Brawner Farm Interpretive Center. On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can join 60-90 minute walking tours at locations throughout the park.
On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 26-27, attend living history demonstrations at Brawner Farm, including portrayals of camp life, drill and historic weapons firing. Historic weapons demonstrations will occur at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. On Saturday at 6 p.m., a real-time battle program will feature more than 100 living historians portraying some of the most dramatic events of the battle of Brawner’s Farm.
All programs and activities are rain or shine, free of charge and are intended for visitors of all age ranges and interest levels.
