Haymarket Chapter of Quilter’s Unlimited of Northern Virginia will have a quilt show at the Haymarket Museum, Sept. 9 through Oct. 22. The theme will be “Quilting; Now and Then,” showing how much, and how little, has changed in the quilting and fabric world.
The museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. and immediately after the parade on Haymarket Day, Sept 16. The museum is located at 15025 Washington Street, Haymarket, VA 20169. Free.

On Friday, Nov. 22, the American Red Cross will mark the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art blood donation center in Manassas. This new facility will collect thousands of blood products each year from generous donors who roll up a sleeve to help save lives.
