June 19 fundraiser for Occoquan Historical Society

Bottle Stop Wine Bar at 311 Mill Street in Occoquan will host a fundraiser on Monday, June 19, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. to benefit the Occoquan Historical Society.

Enjoy a glass of wine along with a buffet of roasted chicken, wilted spinach, roasted potatoes, lemon caper sauce, baguettes, and chocolate chip cookies.

Watch a slide show that includes many of the oldest photographs from the Society’s Mill House Museum collection, get an up-close look at some of the Museum’s unique artifacts that will be on display at the fundraiser, and learn about some of the projects the Occoquan Historical Society has funded over the last decade.

Reproductions of historical photographs will also be auctioned off and all attendees will receive a raffle ticket to win Helen Jean Smith’s framed, signed, and numbered (383/500) Autumn in Occoquan print.

Tickets are $50 and may be purchased online at https://www.occoquanhistoricalsociety.org/upcoming-events or by sending your name, address, telephone number and/or email address, and a check made out to the “Occoquan Historical Society” to P.O. Box 65, Occoquan, VA 22125. If purchasing by mail please make sure to note on your check that you are purchasing a ticket to the fundraiser. No tickets will be mailed, but you will be placed on the list of ticket holders at the event.  Space is limited.
