Book sales
All full-service libraries feature ongoing book sales! Potomac Library is having a big sale the first weekend in March, and Bull Run Library’s monthly lobby sale is on March 25.

Teen Photography Contest: Bull Run
Friday, March 24 - Monday, April 24

Enter your spring break photos in Bull Run’s annual photography contest and you could win a prize! Print an entry form from http://www.pwcgov.org/library or pick one up from Bull Run Library.

Now Open! Dumfries Neighborhood Library
Dumfries Library’s new location is just down the street but features two study rooms, a larger children’s area, twice as many computers, and a brand-new reading environment. Check out your new space at 18115 Triangle Shopping Plaza in Dumfries, and click here to see upcoming events for kids.

Read Across America with Dr. Seuss
Celebrate children’s literature (and Dr. Seuss’s birthday) with these zany events! Check http://www.pwcgov.org/libraries for locations, dates, and times.

The Prince William Area Dementia Caregivers’ Academy
The Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with the PWC Area Agency on Aging, will present ten free, informative sessions for those caring for loved ones with dementia. Please register for each week you wish to attend.

Live Well, Virginia! Chronic Disease Self-Management: Potomac
Wednesdays, March 22 - April 26

1:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Bring Spring to Bull Run
Saturday, March 4, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

In Bulgaria, people celebrate Baba Marta Day at the beginning of March, making little red and white dolls and bracelets to give to friends and to hang from trees to help usher in the spring. Drop in and make your own. For all ages/families.

A Night at the Library: Montclair Community Library
Friday, March 17, 4:45 - 8:45 p.m.
Students in grades 4-7 will enjoy dinner and embark on an adventure using puzzles, riddles, and activities to solve a mystery. This special annual fundraiser is sponsored by Animated Child. Register and purchase tickets at Montclair Library beginning April 17. Click here for details.

Sciencetellers presents “Dragons and Dreams”: Chinn Park
Saturday, March 18, 11:00 a.m.

Kids of all ages and their families will love this mashup of STEM and storytelling! Brave villagers take a daring journey to release dragons and save their kingdom in a story that features interactive and explosive experiments. No registration required.

Sustainable Vegetable Gardening Series: Central
Saturday, March 18, March 25, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Growing your own food is good for our bodies and for the earth. Learn the basics of sustainable vegetable gardening from the Virginia Cooperative Extension and Master Gardeners. Call 703-792-7747 to register.

Discovering the Creative Arts Therapies: Haymarket Gainesville
Sunday, March 26, 1:00 p.m.

Learn from creative therapy experts about the benefits of art and music therapy in bringing about positive changes at the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical levels. For adults; no registration required.

Digital Book Trailer Award Ceremony
Thursday, March 30, 7:00 p.m.

Please join us in recognizing the participants in the Young Adult Book Trailer Project. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists. Refreshments will be served.
