Fauquier Court House Chapter, DAR & the Culpeper Minutemen Chapter, SAR, will co-host a Genealogy Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Warrenton Presbyterian Church, 91 Main Street, Warrenton. Sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. and finish at 3:30 p.m.

The featured guest will be author Laura Lyster-Mensh speaking on “The Reluctant Family Historian”. A local attorney will speak about researching local court records, the Assistant Virginia State SAR Registrar will speak on SAR documentation, the past SAR Genealogist General will present a case study on African-American Research, and other topics such as DNA and Internet resources.
Enter the church from the side entrance on North 5th Street. The best suggested parking spot is the public lot on the corner of N 5th and Horner Streets, just down 5th from the entrance to the church. Door prizes from Ancestry.com, Family Tree Maker, and Family Tree DNA will be awarded, according to the news release.
