Manassas National Battlefield Park is excited to invite the public to a fun-filled free Saturday in the Park event on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Activities will take place at the Brownsville Picnic Area, William Centre Blvd Manassas, VA 20109. Join Park Rangers as they host hands-on activities that will include bird migration obstacle games, bird watching, nature journaling, bird mask craft, TRACK Trail hikes, dip netting for macro-invertebrates and more.
Hike along a short loop trail and stop at each activity station to discover something fascinating about the park and our local community.
The event will also feature local partners such as Prince William Forest Park, the Manassas Museum, and Prince William Wildflower Society, that will showcase hands-on activities to connect people to the outdoors and promote environmental stewardship and education.
Events like Saturday at the Park, encourages the local community to “Find Your Park,” a public awareness and education initiative celebrating the milestone centennial anniversary of the National Park Service in 2016 and setting the stage for the next 100 years.
