Celebrating its 20th season entertaining audiences in Prince William County and across Virginia, NDC will be performing from a music library of “Timeless Treasures.” Audiences will revel in the energy of the New Dominion Choraliers 65-plus voices joined by talented local musicians and Mary G. There will be featured performances by NDCs talented vocalists and lively and beautiful dancers from Dance Etc. School of the Arts.
Come 30 minutes early Saturday or Sunday for a short preshow concert of the Mary G. Porter Traditional School Elementary Chorus.
“Selecting the music for this concert was a challenge. Over the past 20 years NDC has performed more than 700 pieces. The music you will hear truly celebrates the vibrancy and value of music in our lives, touching emotions, rousing passion, and taking us on adventures and journeys in our minds,” NDC Director Katherine Nelson-Tracey was quoted as saying in a news release. “As we celebrate our 20th season, we are performing music that resonates across the years. Whether you are new to NDC or avid supporter, you are sure to come away from this concert with a song in your heart.”
Purchase tickets online at http://www.newdominionchoraliers.org or at the door. Admission to the concert is $5 to $15, with discounts for seniors, PWCS and PWC government employees, law enforcement, and first responders.
Choraliers President, Jeff Limjoco said NDC will continue its support of the local charity Trevor’s Treasures by collecting unwrapped toys and donations in the lobby at the concerts. These toys continue to fulfill the mission of Trevor Blake who passed away in 2013 at age 11 from a rare form of cancer.
Rather than give up or give in, Trevor set a mission to bring toys to other children who were also suffering from cancer, and he dedicated his short life to brining smiles to the faces of other children undergoing cancer treatment.
