Saturday hike at Chinn Park in Woodbridge
Prince William Conservation Alliance will lead a hike Chinn Park Hike from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6. Meet at Chinn Library,
13065 Chinn Park Drive, Woodbridge VA, 22192. This hike was originally scheduled for Jan. 23 and has been rescheduled due to the snow.
Tour this well-loved community park that is currently proposed for conversion into a school. Hikers will use the hike/bike trail to walk through the 62-acre hardwood forest, which connects surrounding neighborhoods to each other and to community facilities.
Along the way, hikers will look for birds and signs of wildlife, check out the Bluebird Trail, and talk about why parkland is important for wildlife and people.
Hike leaders include representatives from PWCA, Sycamore Ridge HOA, and MidCounty Civic Association.
