“It takes a village…” to bring joy to thousands of youngsters during the holidays—a time of happiness, celebration, and family. Volunteers representing the Fraternal Order of Police, Volunteer Prince William, SPARK, and multiple business partners gave their time and their hearts to provide gifts to students and families.
Mary Foley, Executive Director of Volunteer Prince William, was quoted in a news release as saying, “The program had another great year of providing joy to children in our community. We had 5400 children registered this year which is 400 more than last year. This is such a caring community where churches, business, families and individuals come together and provide toys and warm clothes to so many kids. My heartfelt thanks for all the support including from so many employees of Prince William County Public Schools.”
Holiday programs to help families in our community are essential. The donors, sponsors, volunteers, and coordinators are the special people who make these programs a success each year.
