First Day Hike- History Gone Wild January 1st, 2016, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sky Meadows State Park off US 17 in Delaplane. No parking fee on Jan. 1.
Meet the park historian and naturalist at the Log Cabin to take a hike infused with history and nature. See historic features along the Boston Mill Road Trail and Snowden Trail that have a wild side.
Young explorers will assist by finding hidden clues that reveal nature and history. Afterwards, join us for light refreshments in the log house.
We recommend dressing in layers, and wearing sturdy shoes. The hike will cover 1.8 miles over moderate terrain.
