Stephanie Foerster walked away with the first place People’s Choice Award with her curled paper creation titled “Mary’s Hands” in the Manassas Art Guild’s (MAG) exhibit at Man Cave, the fall Old Town Manassas “Gallery Walk” event on Nov. 6.
Ann Null took the second place People’s Choice Award for her oil painting titled “Ready for the Hunt.”
Winners of People’s Choice Awards were selected by people who visited the MAG exhibit and marked a choice on a piece of paper. When the exhibit closed, ballots were counted to determine winners.
Participation in the MAG exhibit was limited to guild members. Manassas Art Guild is a non-profit group of artists who, together, are building and maintaining a visible and active visible and active visual arts community in Manassas, Va.
The Guild promotes the appreciation of art and fine crafts through workshops , lectures, deomonstrations, and exhibits. Interested parties are welcome to visit http://www.manassasartguild.com.
Artists are welcome to join and participate. The next regular Guild meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday Nov. 12 in the art room at Sinclair Elementary School on Garner Drive across from the Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire House.
