Historically themed food and music and ale tastings will be featured on Sept. 12 during Tavern Night at William Ordinary in Historic Dumfries.
The event for 21 and older is part of the “Road to Yorktown” weekend, that highlights Prince William County’s role in the Revolutionary War.
Cosponsored by Historic Dumfries and Prince William County’s Department of Historic Preservation in conjunction with BadWolf Brewing, Tavern Night will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. The fee is $35 per person. Reservations are recommended. Call 703-792-4754.
Williams Ordinary is located at 17674 Main Street, Dumfries. Guests should park at Dumfries Town Hall and catch the free shuttle bus. In the 1700s, Williams Ordinary was the hub of social life in Dumfries and provided thousands of men and women with food, drinks and lodging.
