There will be a monthly meeting of the Prince William Art Society this evening, Monday, June 22 at 7:30 pm at the Tall Oaks Community Center in Lake Ridge, with a free program featuring Lynette Reed, sculpture artist.
Reed received her BFA in Printmaking and Painting in North Dakota, but concentrated on fiber arts as she traveled across the country and Europe until she moved to Virginia in 2004, when she returned to painting.
A member of several galleries in Fredericksburg and partner in Water Street Studio where she also teaches fiber arts, she has recently begun to find ways to merge painting and fiber arts within her sculptures.
Reed will share her work and discuss the creative process, including her uses of color. Her work can be viewed at: http://www.bylynettereed.com
