Youth Orchestras of Prince William (YOPW) will conclude their concert season with a tribute to the music of the movies and a Silent Auction at Patriot High School in Nokesville on Sunday, May 3, with auction starting at 3:30 p.m. and concert beginning at 4 pm.
YOPW’s “An Afternoon at the Movies” Concert showcases over 230 area youth performing specially selected favorites from films including Brave, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and Schindler’s List. The Preparatory, Primo, and Repertory Orchestras, will be followed by the Cadet Percussion Ensemble, Youth Chorus, Wind Symphony, Concert Orchestra and Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Special Event – The YOPW Silent Auction will also take place during the concert from 3:30 to 6 pm. Winners need not be present to win, but are encouraged to stay and pick up their items at the close of the auction. Auction items include golf and resort packages, sports memorabilia, restaurant and performance venue gift certificates, musical instruments, lessons, CDs and more! Tickets are available at the door: Adults $10, Students and Seniors $6, and children under 6 are free.
