“An Evening of Musical Comedy with Joey Vincent,” the annual fundraiser for education grants and a scholarship given by Soroptimist International of Manassas, will be held on Saturday, April 11, at the Stonewall Golf Club, 5601 Turtle Point Drive, Gainesville.
Tickets are $60 per person and include the Joey Vincent Show, awards dinner, silent auction and wingspan raffle. For more information or to order tickets, call Vicki Latimer at 703-477-1338.
Joey Vincent was described in a news release as “a talented musician, comedian and first-rate impersonator.” His fast-paced, interactive show features impressions of famous musicians from the Blues Brothers to Willie Nelson, the news release said.
Proceeds from the event fund Soroptimist “Live Your Dream” grants and the “Elizabeth Davies” scholarship.
“Live Your Dream” assists women who are the main financial support of their families by awarding them a $1500 or $1000 grant to be used to complete their education or skilled job training.
The annual “Elizabeth Davies Scholarship” of $1,000 is awarded to a financially deserving student at Northern Virginia Community College. The scholarship honors the late Elizabeth Davies who was a member of Manassas Soroptimist and the postmaster of Manassas,
