Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community will hold its first film festival on April 10-12, 2015 in Washington, VA (the first Washington, laid out by the teenage George). Individuals who wish to submit films for consideration can obtain an entry form and instructions at http://www.raac.org Dead.line for submissions is January 31.
Rappahannock County is home to many professional and emerging filmmakers. Films considered for the festival will include those made by full or part-time county residents, films that include county locations or films that feature county residents.
Films will be shown Friday through Sunday at the Theatre at Washington, VA. Filmmakers will conduct Q&As and mingle over coffee, wine and food. In addition, the festival will feature a pop-up movie hall, where filmmakers can offer sneak previews of works in progress and solicit feedback from the audience.
