Bear Country Nov. 22 at Hylton Center with family friendly Berenstain Bears LIVE!

Young and old alike are invited to come on down to Bear Country for this enchanting adaptation of Stan and Jan Berenstain’s beloved children’s series, Berenstain Bears LIVE! at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

This performance is a part of the Hylton Family Series, featuring events for families to enjoy and experience the arts together. Prince William County is the 2014-2015 Hylton Family Series Sponsor.

Fresh from its sold-out, off-Broadway run, “Family Matters: The Musical” is based on three of the most popular “Berenstain Bears” books.

Brother Bear’s grades are slipping, Sister Bear still has a few things to learn about making new friends and Papa Bear can’t stop eating junk food – but thankfully, they, and we – can always depend on Mama Bear and her loving patience to set things right.

Filled with original songs, fun dancing and important life lessons, this humorous and heartfelt theatrical experience gives parents the opportunity to share these treasured tales they enjoyed as children with their own young cubs!

Time Out New York called the production, “spirited, energetic and hilarious for all generations,” while Mommy Poppins said it is “like honey for little kids!”

The Hylton Family Series continues with Pushcart Players presenting “Alice in Wonderland” on Saturday, Feb. 28, and folk icon Peter Yarrow with a children’s concert on Sunday, April 12.
