Local book author Nancy S. Kyme of Lake Ridge will be the Distinguished Author and Speaker at the Prince William Library Foundation’s annual Wine and Food Pairing Dinner and fundraiser in Occoquan on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Madigan’s Waterfront Restaurtant in Occoquan will be the site of the event that benefits PWC library system, according to Bryanna Altman, president of the foundation. The dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m. includes passed appetizers, wine tasting, three-course dinner, and Kyme’s presentation. Cash bar available.

Kyme’s “Memory Lake; The Forever Friendships of Summer,” Vantage Point Books, first released in July 2011, became an Amazon best seller the following month. In June of 2012, it won first place in the Inspirational category of the “2012 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.” A second edition, Tate Publishing, released August 2013, depicts on its cover Lake Michigan as seen from the top of Sleeping Bear Dunes; the novel’s setting, and an area named “Most Beautiful Place in America” by ABC’s Good Morning America.
Kyme’s production company, Binral Productions, is venturing into the science fiction-fantasy market with her latest series of young adults novels slated for release in 2015. She is a member of Write by the Rails, serves on the board of three local foundations, and is an advocate for children experiencing nature.
