The Bull Run Troubadours (BRT) Barbershop Quartets will be delivering surprise Singing Valentines throughout Manassas, Manassas Park and Prince William County on Valentine’s Day.
Spouses, sweethearts, admirers or friends who want a special, unusual and long-remembered touch for the occasion order up the valentine surprise.
Dan Sobrio, a Bull Run Troubadour who books the singing Valentines and is a quartet member as well, says the quartets will arrive unannounced in at the office, home, or other requested location.
In distinctive outfits, the Bull Run Troubadours quartet sings two popular sweetheart songs in the barbershop style (a capella) and presents a Valentine card, a silk rose and a keepsake picture of the event to the recipient(s). The cost of the package is $60, a portion of which is donated to local charities ACTS and SERVE.
Sobrio said the program seems to grow in popularity every year, so he recommends ordering the surprise early. The deadline is Feb. 12. BRT will deliver valentines on Friday, Feb. 14 or an earlier date subject to scheduling considerations.
