Are you are brave enough? Take a walking tour through Dumfries’ Haunted Heights, visit Weems-Botts — listed as the second most haunted site in Virginia by the Fredericksburg Star.and featured on “My Ghost Story” on A&E entertainment and CBS “Spirited History.”
Hear local tales of spectral wonder and mystery along the way. Learn about the most haunted house in Dumfries and its most recent occurrences.

“Dracula” on stage, horror tale presented Prince William Little Theatre (PWLT) Nov. 1 & 2 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. This new adaptation restores the suspense and seduction of Bram Stoker’s classic novel to the stage.
As Count Dracula begins to exert his will upon the residents of London, they try to piece together the clues of his appearances-in a valiant attempt to save themselves from a hideous fate. Rich with both humor and horror, this play paints a wickedly theatrical picture of Stoker’s famous vampire.
The show is directed by Zina Bleck, produced by Dave Warner and features local actors Rodrigo Pool, Will MacLeod, Zacharius Fletcher, Michael King, Terry Mason, Tonya Duncan, Becky Farris, Valerie Chamness, Erin Mattingly, Flo Armstrong, Holly Tupper and Caroline Simpson.
This gothic tale will be performed in the Gregory Family Theatre at the Hylton Performing Arts Center at the GMU campus in Manassas.Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students, seniors and groups of 10 or more. Oct.18 - Spooky Stories at Historic Brentsville
Do you love scary movies and hearing ghost stories?
Join site staff for a fun filled evening spent around a campfire with spooky stories about Historic Brentsville and other haunts in and around Prince William County.

Oct. 18 and 19 - Ghost Hunting 101 at Ben Lomond
From being a Civil War hospital to the home of countless slaves, Ben Lomond has a diverse history. Now many local residents claim that the house and grounds in Manassas are haunted by spirits from the past.
Ben Lomond Historic Site, 10321 Sudley Manor Dr., Manassas, VA 20109, is partnering with East Coast Research and Investigation of the Paranormal (ECRIP) to host two ghost seminars and investigations on site.
ECRIP is a local volunteer group of researchers who investigate claims of potential paranormal phenomena and educate interested parties about the paranormal by sharing collective research, experience, knowledge and theories.
Participants will first attend a seminar in which various theories and techniques currently used in investigating paranormal activity will be discussed. Afterwards, participants will work alongside experienced paranormal investigators in conducting a paranormal investigation at Ben Lomond.
The seminar will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with the investigations being held from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. $100 per person for seminar and investigation, $40 for just the seminar. Space is limited for the investigation, so reservations are required. Info & reservations: 703-367-7872

Movie master Gary Crawford brings his projector and films back to Bull Run Regional Library on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. for You’ll Find Out (1940) with Kay Kyser, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre.
In this musical, Kay Kyser’s band is booked for a birthday party for an heiress in a spooky haunted mansion! There will be a trivia quiz during the movie and clever members of the audience can bask in fame and glory! Popcorn will be provided; take your own covered beverage.

Oct. 26-27 - Apple bobbing, costume contests and fireside ghost stories at the Winery at La Grange
Guests are invited to join the winery staff for two days with Probe Paranormal Team!
They’ll be recanting ghost stories from their experiences at La Grange’s spooky 17th century Manor House while guests sit by the fireside enjoying mulled cider wine (or hot chocolate for the kiddies)!

Oct. 26-27 Boo! Dracula is coming to town with Manassas Ballet’s Halloween production
Set the scene for a frightening Halloween with Manassas Ballet Theatre’s DRACULA at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 26, 3 p.m. on Sunday.
This unique professional ballet production has the blood-thirsty vampire stalking the beautiful Mina; Lucy, her three suitors, and her spiral downward into the life of a vampire; Dracula’s evil vampire wives…Can Mina’s fiance save her from following in Lucy’s footsteps to becoming one of the undead?
DRACULA was choreographed by Vadim Slatvitskiy, a native of Russia and in his eighth year with MBT. The MBT company dancers will be accompanied by live music from Washington D.C. favorite The Kim Reynolds Band.

Oct. 26 Spirits of Manassas Tours
Follow costumed guides with lanterns through the streets of Old Town Manassas. Hear about strange happenings from the past and present and meet some spirited characters along the way.
Each tour will last about 45 minutes, will go even if it is raining or the moon is full and will begin at the Manassas Museum, 9101 Prince William Street in Old Town Manassas. Start times are 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m.
