Stonewall Jackson High School Band to hold Tag Day fundraiser Sept. 14
Stonewall Jackson High School band will have it annual fundraising drive, called Tag Day, on Saturday, September 14. Affectionately known as the “Spirit of Stonewall Jackson High School,” students will be going door to door, dressed in their marching attire, asking for donations to support the band.
This is the major source of funding for all band events, including sheet music, band instruments, performances, transportation to competitions, uniforms, etc., according to a news release.
In Prince William County, the major source of funding for high school bands is donations, the relase stated.
The band greatly appreciates community support and generosity! Donations can also be made at the band’s spirit-wear table during home football games or by sending a100% tax deductible donation to Friends of the Band, Stonewall Jackson High School, 8820 Rixlew Lane, Manassas, VA 20109.
