Pop singer and Gainesville resident Jordan Baird, who gained national attention following his finalist appearance on The CW’s singing competition show ‘The Next’, will join The Jonas Brothers as the opening act for their July 29 concert at Jiffy Lube Live.
Baird, who has lived in Prince William County his entire life and is a Stonewall Jackson High School graduate, has since signed on as an artist with the Jonas Management Group and now calls Kevin Jonas Sr. his manager.
In a press release, Baird was quoted as saying, “I am so excited for the opportunity to open up for the Jonas Brothers. It’s been an incredible year since I first performed on ‘The Next’ and met the Jonas family. This is an amazing opportunity for me to show what I’ve been working on and help reach more fans with my music.”
In July 2012, Jordan Baird received a huge surprise when Joe Jonas appeared at his church, The Life Church in Manassas, and asked if Jordan would like to be mentored by him for the television show ‘The Next’, alongside other celebrity mentors Gloria Estefan, John Rich and Nelly.
This started an exciting journey that saw Baird progress through every round all the way to the grand final in Los Angeles, all on national television. Since that time, Jordan has been meeting with industry heavyweights and songwriting with hopes of releasing a debut album in the near future.
