Manassas to host Civil War weekend Aug. 23-25

The City of Manassas is hosting a Civil War Weekend Aug. 23-25, 2013.  The weekend features live music and dancing, living history, a Civil War parade, activities for children, featured speakers (to be announced) and much more.  The list of activities is as follows:

FRIDAY, AUGUST 23
Manassas Museum Exhibits and Gallery - 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Live music and dancing to Southern Persuasion at the Harris Pavilion - 8 p.m.
Battle Street LIVE! - 8-11 p.m. - Live entertainment & food
Stories in Stone Twilight Tour of the City of Manassas Cemetery - 8 p.m.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 24
Manassas Museum Exhibits and Gallery - 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
Farmer’s Market (Lot B) - 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Manassas Museum Living History - 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Liberia Plantation Living History - 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Cannon Branch Fort - 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Mayfield Fort - 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
