Historic Prince William to present on May 16 “Hell is Being a Republican in Virginia”...

Historic Prince William invites the public to attend a free presentation by David M. Goetz titled “Hell is Being a Republican in Virginia - The Postwar Relationship between John Singleton Mosby and Ulysses S. Grant.”

It will be on Thursday May 16, 2013 beginning at 7:30 pm in Room107 A&B, in the Developmental Services Building at the McCoart Administrative Center, off the Prince William County Parkway in Woodbridge, VA.

Goetz will talk about the 13-year post-war relationship between Mosby and Grant, two unlikely warriors plucked from obscurity, and on opposite sides of the great conflict, to become central characters in the struggle for peace and reconciliation.

Goetz owns Mosby’s Confederacy Tours, and leads tours in “Mosby’s Confederacy”, including Virginia counties of Fauquier, Loudoun, Warren, Clarke, Prince William, and Fairfax.

He served on the Board of Directors of the former John Singleton Mosby Museum Foundation in Warrenton.

He has studied the life of Mosby for many years and this presentation is the result of that research and his book about Mosby and Grant.
