NOVEC HELPS, Hands Engaged in Local Public Service, invites golfers to birdie for the community on Thursday, May 16, at the Stonewall Golf Course in Gainesville, Va.
The non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization of Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative employees hopes to raise thousands of dollars to pour back into community to improve residents’ health and wellbeing.
Some of the organizations that will benefit are county homeless shelters, Northern Virginia Family Services food bank, Alzheimer’s Association, and the American Red Cross, a news release said.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Awards, door prizes, and lunch will follow. Fee per player: $125.

NOVEC HELPS is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization of NOVEC employees who volunteer their time to do community service. The HELPS board of directors votes on projects and events to support, whether with financial donations or with feet on the ground.
