Members of Prince William Wildflower Society will welcome the community to its annual free spring garden tour, from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, rain or shine.
The educational event highlights the use of native plants in the garden. None of these gardens uses native plants exclusively and all battle invasive with a varying degree of success. Three gardens on the eastern part of the county will be on tour this year.
Gardens featured will be the Thompson garden off of Bacon Race Road at 4781 Wellesley Dr., Woodbridge; this garden features a woodland setting. The other two gardens are on suburban lots. The Chiarito garden is located at 2452 Hingham Court in Woodbridge and the Blacksmith garden is on 15515 Country Club Drive in Montclair.
