Doo-Wop hits Manassas on April 27

Looking for an evening that will take you back to the “Good Old Days”?  “Doo-Wop and Diners,” Prince William Little Theatre’s celebration of the music and home cooking of the 1950s, will play one night only– on Saturday, April 27, from 5 to 9 p.m., at Bethel Lutheran Church, 8712 Plantation Lane, Manassas, VA.

Guests will be treated to a home-cooked meal reminiscent of the great fare our moms and grandmoms used to cook.

Top area performers will serenade the attendees with some of our favorite hits from the ‘50s.  Enjoy an evening of great “down-home” food and songs that will take you back to the decade of Elvis, poodle skirts, Sinatra, Mickey Mantle, bobby socks, Marilyn Monroe, Sputnik….and doo-wop!

Entertainer Annie Ermlick has put together a lineup of more than 20 singers and musicians to keep the evening hoppin’ with tunes like “Wake Up Little Susie,” “Teddy Bear,” and “Mona,” as well as numbers from favorite ‘50s musicals.

Chef Dave Warner’s menu for the evening includes his special meatloaf recipe.

Moderately priced tickets include dinner and show.  Deadline for dinner reservations is Monday, April 22.  Late reservations will have to be content with dessert, with no discount for late reservations.

Reservations and payment can be made online at http://www.pwlt.org.

Prince William Little Theatre, a volunteer community organization, has been bringing quality entertainment to northern Virginia since 1985.  Funds raised by this special event will help the troupe produce its next major show, “Bye Bye Birdie,” now scheduled for July.  PWLT is a member of the Prince William County Arts Council, NVTA (formerly the Northern Virginia Theatre Alliance), and WATCH (the Washington Area Theatre Community Honors).
