Prince William County Dogs, a community support group raising money for a dog park in Lake Ridge, is partnering with the Prince William Park Authority and the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition for a Dog Walk fundraiser on April 21 at 11 a.m. in Lake Ridge Park.
Preregister at http://www.pwcdogs .com and go to Upcoming Events. Preregistration begins at 11 a.m. The fee for the walk is $5 per dog. The walk is 2.75 miles and will start and end in Lake Ridge Park.
The route includes both natural surface trails along the Occoquan Reservoir and sidewalks along Lake Ridge streets. Refreshments for dogs and their human companions will be available. The Lake Ridge dog park is located on Minnieville Road, near Colby Drive. The fence is up and is awaiting the final inspection; the dog waste stations are ordered.
The support group continually needs help with fundraising.
