Prince William County VA.'s Historic Preservation Division, will honor Black History Month with a lecture by Historian Emmanuel Dabney on “Diamonds, Education, Emancipation, and Race: The Family of Silas Omohundro.”
For more than 60 years, the noted banjo player from sourthwestern Virginia Dr. Ralph Stanley has continued to preserve traditional bluegrass, old-time and mountain music with his celebrated band, The Clinch Mountain Boys. Not content to rest on his accolades and awards, Stanley still tours with the vigor and elan of a rock star, performing more than 100 concerts each year, including one here at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.
Three newly expectant couples have different but familiar reactions to the news that they're going to have a bundle of joy in this Prince William Little Theatre musical that is coming to the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, VA.

The Bull Run Troubadours (BRT) can make Tuesday, Feb. 14 a one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day with the delivery of a unique Singing Valentine. The quartets arrive unannounced at office, home, or other requested location and sing two popular sweetheart songs in the barbershop style and present a Valentine Card, a silk rose and a keepsake picture of the event to the recipient(s. The BRT is the officially chartered chorus of the National Barbershop Harmony Society in Prince William County and has been providing barbershop harmony programs in this area for the past 50 years.

For those who enjoy Civil War music and stories, the Manassas Chorale presented a special treat with “Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory” at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. The Oct. 7 and 8 shows offered a blend of music and oral history based on the diaries and letters of regular soldiers and loved ones, slaves and former slaves and President and Mrs. Abraham Lincoln.
