Spring hikes during April at Manassas Battlefield

Experience some of the less-visited areas of Manassas National Battlefield Park with a park historian this month. Spring Hikes, an annual feature of the park’s schedule of interpretive programs, start this weekend.

Program April 5 on uncovering the enslaved workers at Chapman Beverly Mill historic site

Chapman Beverley Mill Historic Site (Turn The Mill Around Campaign) and the Afro American Historical Association of Fauquier County (AAHA) will present a public forum on Friday, April 5, in the AAHA auditorium at 4243 Loudoun Avenue, The Plains, VA, about how the enslaved community at Chapman’s Mill lived and worked for nearly 100 years before the Civil War.

Watch 60+ artists work during “Art on the Block” May 11 in Occoquan
