Members of Prince William Wildflower Society will welcome the community to its annual free spring garden tour, from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, rain or shine.
A Haymarket teen who volunteers at the local food pantry is organizing a May 31 meal packing event to help those in need. She is asking for event volunteers and donations.
Prince William County Dogs, a community support group raising money for a dog park in Lake Ridge, is partnering with the Prince William Park Authority and the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition for a 2.75-miles Dog Walk fundraiser on April 21 at 11 a.m. in Lake Ridge Park.
The Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College is hosting an April 24 talk on poetry writing and publishing and an April 29 Poetry Slam & Read-in in honor of Poetry Month. Both events are free and open to the community with open parking in the student parking lots (Lot B).

Local historians Don Hakenson and Chuck Mauro will talk about their new book, which visits the more than 60 locations where Confederate Colonel John Singleton Mosby was active, during a free Manassas Museum Book Talk on April 7 at 2 p.m.
View the spectacular display of Virginia Bluebells that carpet the floodplain along Cedar Run in Prince William County VA for nearly a mile. Tours which last about 90 minutes are an easy one-mile walk through the floodplain. Each tour, which roughly begins every 30 minutes, has a special focus.

Sport, dance, fitness, fun, and physical challenges for all ages will be at the PWC Community Expo on Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Pfitzner Stadium complex in Woodbridge, behind the McCoart Government Center.
