Paintings by Eric Garner, reflecting an interest in patterning and visual systems, will be on display at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College Nov. 4 -26. The exhibition is called “The Suburbs.” Meet the artist noon to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at his exhibit at Colgan Hall.

g November, Manassas Museum will host four free programs. There will be living history with Marion Dobbins portraying Jennie Dean. Past and present military vehicles and Civil War firearms will be on display with military historians answering questions. Descendants of the Lakota tribe will portray tribe history in stories and dance, and author Robert Brookover will give a free book talk.
Project Mend-A-House invites the community to join its 13th annual Taste of the Town dinner and fundraiser on Oct. 16. Guests will sample delicious foods from 25+ favorite local restaurants.

New Dominion Choraliers of Prince William County will sing a Tribute to Freedom concert to honor those who serve, and have served, in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the U.S. Coast Guard. The concert is Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Triangle VA.
The Shanghai Ballet will be at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas with its production of “La Sylphide” on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at 8 p.m. Early reviews have called the performance "spellbinding."

On Saturday, October 5, Occoquan Bible Church in the Lake Ridge area of Prince William County will host its annual fall festival. From noon to 4 p.m., enjoy food, entertainment, games and prizes in the church parking lot.
Since 1923 Sudley United Methodists have banded together to serve up to 1,200 dinners on the last Friday in October. The menu of Turkey, oyster patties, dressing, green beans, whipped potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, Waldorf salad, cranberry sauce, bread and butter pickles, rolls and pie continues to be a crowd pleaser.
The 9th Annual Fall Farm Festival at Sky Meadows State Park will be held each weekend in October in Delaplane. Live music, interpretive programs, living history demonstrations and Ghosts of Mount Bleak House Tours will be offered. Food will be available.
