Soroptimist of Manassas will conduct a fundraising event, An Evening of Comedy and Magic with magician and comedian Scott Alexander. All proceeds will benefit Soroptimist Manassas programs which support women and girls in the local community.
Petting zoo, BMX demos, hiking, rope skills course, rock climbing wall, and information on youth summer programs with the Park Authority, Historic Preservation and Manassas Battlefield are among the offering that will be available during the PWC Community EXPO this Saturday, May. 10.
This competition is one of the few in the nation requiring no entrance fee, and all entries receive a written evaluation from the first round judges. For the first time, the Virginia Film Office is accepting all submissions electronically only; hard copies will not be accepted.

On Saturday, April 26, CASA, held its 15th Annual Retro Dance Party at Harris Pavillion, in Old Town Manassas. It was a fundraiser to support efforts to help abused, abandoned, and neglected children.
