Youth Orchestras of Prince William (YOPW) will conclude their concert season with a tribute to the music of the movies and a Silent Auction at Patriot High School in Nokesville on Sunday, May 3, with auction starting at 3:30 p.m. and concert beginning at 4 pm.
Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) and its local partners across Virginia are now recruiting volunteers for the 27th Clean the Bay Day, CBF’s annual shoreline cleanup, on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon. On Saturday May 2nd from 9 am to 2pm the Second Annual "Wheels for Meals" car show will be held in Gainesville United Methodist Church, 13710 Milestone Court off Linton Hall Rd. There will be eight judging classes, ranging from antiques, classics, both domestic and foreign, future classics, trucks, hot rods and motorcycles.

In a wooded area near the Coles District Fire and Rescue (Station No. 6) building in Manassas are several stones marking grave sites. a new fire station was projected to be built on the property to replace the current one, which was built in 1980. Plans included for it to open by late 2015 to meet the needs of current and projected growth.
