Virginia Tourism Corporation is working with localities to organize statewide #VAOutdoors InstaMeets on June 20. The gatherings are for outdoor enthusiasts who use Instagram to come together and share experiences by using the #VAOutdoors hashtag.
A spaghetti dinner this Saturday will raise funds for community Christmas festivities in Nokesville. Homemade desserts are on the menu. The event will include a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing.
All Virginia state parks will offer special events or activities on June 6 geared towards trails. State parks in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, like Leesylvania State Park in Woodbridge and Mason Neck State Park in Fairfax, will also mark the 27th annual Clean the Bay Day with special activities.
VFW Post 7589 and its Ladies Auxiliary are putting on a Homecoming celebration for Vietnam Veterans and all members of Post 7589 on Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The barbeque is open to all veterans and their immediate families. It is the 69th Anniversary of the establishment of VFW Post 7589.
On Saturday, May 30, Gainesville Supervisor Pete Candland will join Rise Up Prince William for the third annual Walk for Prince William, a 32-mile walk across the county. Beginning in Woodbridge and ending in Haymarket, the walk will raise donations for a number of charities along the route.
The Manassas-Warrenton Camera Club is displaying photography masterpieces in The Hall at City Hall. These beautiful photos bring out color and light to ordinary scenery. The exhibit is open Monday – Friday and is free to the public.

Help is needed with the Manassas Railway Festival, a Va. Health Department project, assisting ReStore donors and customers, BEACON Literacy conversation classes, a wetlands preserve in Woodbridge and SERVE's food pantry.
Southern Fauquier Historical Society, Inc will meet May 19 at 7:30 PM. Catlett Fire and Rescue Building on VA 28 near the post office. The group will be closing out its year with an "Out of the Attic Night." Take an item that you either have a question about or would like to show others and tell us about.
