The Historic Pohick Church Docent Guild will give free guided tours of the historic colonial church on the first Saturdays of the month (July 4) between 1 and 3 p.m.
Locust Shade Park off US 1 will be the site of a June 28 early morning run and walk sponsored by the Prince William Humane Society to benefit the Warrior Buddies Wounded Heroes Adoption program.
The Poetry and Jazz Festival will return for its second year at the Tackett’s Mill Plaza on Saturday, July 18th from 12-4PM. A new group of talented local poets and authors will be featured at the Prince William County venue.
The New Dominion Choraliers of Prince William County, an award-winning volunteer, non-auditioned, chorus of dedicated amateur and professional musicians, is looking for new singers for its 20th Anniversary Year. Rehearsals start Aug. 31.

On June 20, a Juneteenth celebration will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the plaza, at 1 County Complex Court in Woodbridge. Historic interpreter LeCount Holmes will present a Frederick Douglass oration. The Emancipation Proclamation and the Order for Texas will be read. In addition to historic presentations, there will be folk dancers, gospel singers and children's games.
