On Saturday, July 4, Celebrate America with the City of Manassas from 3 to 10 p.m. in Historic Downtown Manassas.

On June 20, a Juneteenth celebration will be held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the plaza, at 1 County Complex Court in Woodbridge. Historic interpreter LeCount Holmes will present a Frederick Douglass oration. The Emancipation Proclamation and the Order for Texas will be read. In addition to historic presentations, there will be folk dancers, gospel singers and children's games.

Manassas National Battlefield Park will offer special programs this weekend in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the dedication of the Bull Run and Groveton Monuments.
