Fauquier County Public Schools has initiated the Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) program which will involve training more than 1,000 school personnel and community members in order to improve mental health literacy – helping them identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness in children and youth.
Learn how to manage anger between parents, parents and children, and siblings in this series of three classes, offered in Manassas and in the Woodbridge/Montclair area.
Six-week parenting classes will be offered this fall in the Manassas and Woodbridge/Montclair areas.

For many Prince William County Fair visitors, it’s a must to take in an nightly event at the Grandstand. They love the noise, smoke and thrilling action taking place before them. The Truck and Tractor Pull highlights the action on Aug. 15 with plenty of loud noises and smoke for the enjoyment of the fans.

Historically themed food and music and ale tastings will be featured on Sept. 12 during Tavern Night at William Ordinary in Historic Dumfries. The event for 21 and older is part of the "Road to Yorktown" weekend, that highlights Prince William County's role in the Revolutionary War.
A living history presentation featuring historic trades, cooking and youth activities will highlight Prince William County's role in the Revolutionary War in Dumfries, VA from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13.

The annual Manassas Civil War Weekend will be spread out over three days and nights, Aug. 21-23, at the Manassas Museum and at Liberia Plantation. Attractions will range from military demonstrations to live music, to speakers and encampments, to a parade and children's activities, to special exhibits to the commemoration of "Stonewall" Jackson's Raid on Manassas Junction in August 1862.
Folk singer Judy Cook will perform a program of Civil War music at Manassas National Battlefield Park on Saturday, Aug. 8. The hour-long performance will be held in the Henry Hill Visitor Center auditorium at 5:30 p.m.
