Fauquier Community Theatre (FCT) has issued a Nov. 2-3 casting call for the production of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It that will be on stage March 8-24, 2019. Dancers, singers, musicians are also needed.
Manassas Battlefield Trust is sponsoring a special four-hour hike-tour Nov. 3 led by historian John Hennessy, chief historian and chief of interpretation at Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park. The history outing will follow the entire length of Jackson's line from Sudley Rd. to the Brawner Farm, a distance of about three miles.

The tenth Annual Northern Virginia Veterans Parade will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. and will honor the 100th Anniversary of the American Legion. The Grand Marshal is former American Legion and Virginia Commander Dan Dellinger, a Vietnam veteran, from Vienna.

Letters of Hope, a nonprofit group headquartered in Lake Ridge, has stationed a "Letter Creation Pop Up," until Oct. 31 at Orangetheory Fitness, 4172 Merchant Plaza, Woodbridge, VA 22192, and is asking residents to create encouraging letters for local homeless people and people who are ill.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association is hosting an Oral History Program, and you are invited! The six-month project starts with a launch party on Sept.20, 6:30 pm at Harbour View Events Center in Woodbridge. The program will capture “a day in the life of a Woodbridge resident” throughout the years. The program will interview new and old residents spanning a range of demographics to provide a comprehensive portrayal of the Woodbridge community and the changes it has undergone.
